The best router is a Cisco, but unless you have enough money to run 10 Cosworth's I would always suggest a Linksys.
The reason for this is Linksys uses open firmwear which has the source code available which mean lots of additional features can be made to work on the router if you wish.

anything except a netgear or a belkin. I have a netgear and it was a bitch to set up, plus it took about 4 network adapters to find on that would work. A netgear one wouldnt work if you used XP to set it up. So had to use netgears gay software. The only one i have found that works with it is an old 3com one of my dad's PC which I pinched so i could have internet and he couldnt
im on aol too

Linksys is the best option personally. Although apparently orange liveboxes are mint for download speeds through 100% legal (disclaimer lol) torrent sites. Probably cos they werent designed properly and dont have a fully functioning firewall knowing wanadoo/orange

For me netgear all the way. Work in IT, setup about 20 of these, never had an issue. I have noticed the newer ones they have tried to improve the setup with a wizard thing which is actually a pain in the arse and doesn't work (or didn't the one time i tried) so I wonder if this is the problem stephen had. If you connect onto the old fashion way to the IP, then add your connection details and setup security etc its fine.

As for orange live box, don't get me started, biggest piece of crap out there IMO!

Just get the AoHell wireless kit, not the easiest to set up with AoHell believe me, but it will do the job for you.

what wireless card does the PS3 have in it?

Does it support Wireless-N ?

If it supports wireless N then go for a Linksys that supports it. The signal strength and speed are much better than Wireless-G

But if PS3 doesnt support it, its pointless so just get a Linksys WAG54G (ADSL) or WRT54G (NTL/Telewest/Virgin) or whatever the current models are

Netgear are dump
