i have a wireless router, my pc and xbox 360 are run off it by hard wires and have a laptop in the house using the wirless mode on it, will the wireless effect the speed of the hard wired components runnning at the same time?

 

Yes, as will the hard wired connections affect the wireless speed. Ethernet connects at 100mbps and wireless generally connects at 54mbps.

is there anything i can do? can i have 2 isp connections on one phone line? would that be quicker

trouble is when i want to use xbox live my sis is always online on the wireless on her laptop so i lag and cant host a room n its pissing me off

 

No, there's not much you can do really. 2 isp connections won't work on one phone line, you'd need a seperate one.

And if your sister's laptop interferes that much with the x-box connection then there's 4 things to consider :

1) Upgrade your internet connection speed

2) Ban your sister from using the net, or tell the router to only allow her minimal bandwith

3) Get another phone line installed and a seperate ISP

4) Flog your xbox 360 and buy a playstation 3
