Default Anyone gone back to using I.E 7 from firefox?

i have due to firefox not being able to open some sites completly i.e some pictures dont load up etc, not to mention you cant download MS updates via firefox so i decided to start using I.E 7 as my main browser agian, it seems equally as fast and everything is actually loading up 100% on every site
Just wondered though apart from no extensions for I.E like there is for firefox is there any downsides to using I.E 7 nowadays? as a while back they you to say firefox was ALOT safer than I.E but surly now that I.E 7 has the phising filter and all these other features it should be almost up to firefoxs standard or better?

firefox can download windows updates you just use Windiz which is actually better as it does not download any WGA crap...you can even get an extension for this site from mozdev that downloads the updates for yoursystem

the problem of sites is not firefox its the sites being built to non W3C standards using shitty applications like frontpage rather than understanding any code... in this situation I email the site owner and bitch and go somewhere else there are many sites to choose from

IE7 phising filter can be exploited, you can even make passionford look like it is one while using simple scripting to make phising sites appear legitimate...its worthless because of this, it still has many of the holes associated with IE6 within it which is why I do not use it.

Other people even agree that Firefox is still the better browser

The downside to IE7 is its a mozilla wannabe, its still insecure, has known exploits which were not fixed from IE6 and does nothing new...when considering how long it was in development for it should do

There is a lot of unpatched security issues which were known about prior to the release of IE7 and a few more discovered since

http://windowsupdate.62nds.com/

windows update the firefox way, no WGA update, or activation updates either, only the updates your system needs, not the ones microsoft want you to have

only thing i use IE (v6) for is outlook web access for work (it doesnt work in IE7, when you click send on a new email it crashes, no matter what machine you're on) does my head in

OWA works in mozilla but you get the basic client version with missing functionality
