Default Networking wizards...help please???

My Dad has just had to buy new Virus protections software that has a firewall too (McAfee 2007).

He has a main desktop PC and a laptop.

The desktop is hardwired to a wireless router and the laptop os wireless to the router.

How would he go about getting the Virus software to protect both computers???

Does he have to install it onto both machines???

Or is there a way by utilising the router? so that whenever the laptop sends and receives the router passes it through the virus software on the main PC........

Any suggestions or advice on how to do this???

No experience with wireless etc but i dont think you can use Anti virus on both without actually having it installed on both machines and also i think you cant just install willy nilly, you need 2 licenses so you get a different code for each computer.

Correct me if im wrong someone

Yes, I'd say you'd need it on both machines really. Virus scanners scan files on access also, anything you look at / open it'll try and scan, (I have a lot of experience with Mcafee products, particularly Enterprise 8)

As Adam has said really, easiest way is just to install on both machines. McAfee professional allows you to install on 2 PC's using the same registration.
