hi, got my desktop back up and running and having trouble with setting up a manual internet connection as its been a while and ive forgotten

im with AOL and dont want the software infesting my computer so want to get online without using the software just a normal sign on screen....

when im setting it up it keeps saying incorrect password, but its not!

any ideas?

ring aol then and sort it out

 

you must be joking rining aol and telling them that i want to use their service but not install the crap software

 

If its possible to use your internet without any software then why not? if they say do you have the software installed just say yes, now why doesnt my password work! i dont know what net connection your using but with my ADSL modem i HAVE to have speedtouch software installed for it to work, but thats not crap from my net provider though, its actually needed to make it work and connect.
