I need to buy one, whats good things too look out for? i want to be able to burn Cd's and play dvd's ect.. but i have a budget or £500 so any suggestions?

Then minimum you need one with a DVD-ROM/CD-RW drive (read (play) DVD and read + burn CD), but you might waswell get one with a DVD-RW drive which will read.play all CD's and DVD's and burn both CD's and DVD's.
Get one with as much RAM (memory) as you can (wouldn't go less than 512mb) and look for a hard drive around 80gb or bigger if you want to store lots of stuff on there like music and film/video clips.
