I had a folder with music open - wne downstairs to smoke, came back and all my icons in that folder had changed? So looked at all the other WMP icons, and they had all changed aswell?

Weird!

Now they all look like this;

How do I change em back? Don't like the new ones

I just got the new WMP 11 and all the files are like the first pic you posted, although i think they were the same with version 10 aswell, does it REALLY matter that they have slightly changed appearance though

I have had WMP 10 for a month or two now and they stayed the same - the only changed in the last 10mins

And no, of course it doesn't REALLY matter, but I don't like it when the PC thinks for itself and does stuff I didn't ask it to do

Plus they look poo, I preferred the older ones

well i just been trying to see if you can get a list of possible icons for WMP files and i cant seem to do it

Im sure someone else will know how to do it(thats if you can).

If you use WMP10 then i recommend you download 11, its great

oh and yeah it does look like that one except its black as standard so im not sure whats going on with yours, you say its version 10 you have? doesnt look like it

Still in BETA mode thos isn't it?

I didn't bother with 10 for a long time as 9 seemed better, then I decided to get 10 as the MP3 ripper I was using kept fluffing up the tracks, and 9 only lets you rip in WMA.

Then I got 10 and found you have PAY to listen to the radio Which you didn't have to do with 9 - radio was free Fooking Microsoft!

Still need to see why I sould "upgrade" to v11. Need a list of things that make it better, easier, more advanced etc.... And need it to be stable, which while it's in BETA mode, it ain't gonna be

That screen shot I posted wasn't of my v10 - it's a v11 pic I found using Google. I wasn't sure tho if it was XP v11 or Vista v11

well the one i got is off official microsoft website so its not gunna be too dodgy if microsoft are offering it for the public to download ? plus when it installs it installs over version 10 so you dont have to do anything

Had it a few days now and nothing bad to report, the SRS effects and bass enhancer thingy are great, really adds bass when im wearing my stereo headphones Been told version 10 had it though which i didnt know?

No no, didn't say it was dodgy

v11 (as far as I know) isn't the full, official release yet (as in you can't buy it) and Microsoft have released a BETA version of it (BETA as in trial version, to see how people get on with it, and MS can fix reported bugs n problems)

Generally I don't like BETA versions as most of the time you get bugs n glitches as it hasn't been fully iron'd out.

So I will probably wait for the full edition to come out....

Anyway, more randomness - just rebooted my PC, and all the WMP icons have returned to this one again;

What?!?! It weren't me that changed em!
