you say you have anti spyware and spybot, running those should be fine for spyware BUT if i was you id delete anti spyware beta and install this instead because its way better at doing its job(still free) http://www.download.com/3000-2144-10045910.html
Thats what i use along with spybot(which you already have)
Just make sure you delete antispyware beta because you dont want loads of different programmes all over the shop!

Still getting pops up even with a blocker?
Are you running internet explorer? if you are then i highly recommend downloading firefox, its basically the same as explorer on the surface so its very easy to use except its much faster, offers better security agianst spyware etc AND it has built in pop up blocker

You cant delete explorer because its part of windows, so just leave it on there and carry on using firefox for your browser.
You say "it came up"? i assume you mean the same pop up you were getting on explorer? if so then can you post a screen shot on here of it so i can see for myself?
As for the cookie tracker, you will get them from visting different sites, basically some websites attach these tracking cookies so they can moniter your internet usage habits etc and find out things about you etc! i always have at least 6 of these when i do a scan so i just delete them and thats it, nothing much to worry about.
P.s when you have done a scan using ad-adware if you right click on the cookie thing it will say something like"whats this", or "definition"(i cant remember) and it tells you exactly what the item is that its found

Plus it says 0mb next to it, which means your not gaining any disk space by deleting it so you mayaswell leave it!
Anyway heres what i was talking about tommy:

If its too small to read then save the pic to your pc and then view it, should be full size then

yeh i think the ads popping up are something to do with internet explorer still, even when i open fire fox, the ads pop up in a window with the explorer icon/pic in the top left of the window?
this ad was from kelkoo

To be honest with you if your still getting pop ups even after trying various different things then your PC is probably too badly infected with spyware to cure, short of a full restore.
My laptop got to the stage where i had a never ending "Come meet me at pussy palace" pop up, if u closed it another one would pop up, the only way was to drag it out of the way, plus a continual "ding ding ding ding ding" playing through the speakers.
Ive restored it now and with the service packs kept up to date i have NO pop ups and i dont have any additional blockers or spyware software.
AVG free edition anti virus and thats should be all you should need really.

Firefox itself should block pop up's.
MIght be time to give it the wipe it clean and start again. Then, install AVG, Spybot Search & Destroy, Microsoft Anti Spyware (for what's it's worth) and 2 firewalls

Sometimes its the only way mate, i had to back up about 40gb's worth of stuff. If u can afford to IMO you would be best off getting a 2nd HDD for when you do, so you can keep all your stuff on another HDD then should you ever need to restore you won't have to lose it.
