Whats it worth, Transit Connect RS
Not really many of these to go on so i thought id post up and see what people had to say on what they thing my vans worth....
After thinking long and hard I feel it’s time to let someone else enjoy my Transit Connect.
Where can I begin????
The van itself is a LWB Hi-roof van and started life as a 1.8 Zetec and has been modified as follows :-
- 2003 Focus RS engine that had covered 26,000Miles
- Turbo Technics Hybrid T28 Turbo
- Forge Adjustable Actuator
- GRS Front mount Intercooler
- Custom Silicon Boost Pipes
- Blue-Flame De-Cat
- Powerflow 2.5inch Custom Stainless Exhaust (With No Boxes)
- Focus RS Gearbox (With Quaife LSD)
- AP 6 Padle clutch (roughtly 1000miles old)
- Omex 600 Standalone ECU (Fully Mappable)
- Cosworth 3bar MAP sensor
- Denso ITV24 Iridium Spark Plugs
- Focus RS Fuel Pump
- LPG Conversion
- Modified Inlet manifold (To Accept the LPG Injectors)
- Kenlow Hi-Flow Rad Fans
- Power 290BHP- But has been turned down as it was too powerfull of everyday use.
- Yokohama Prada Spec2 Tyres (All 4 Starting to get low)
- Ford Racing Boost Gauge (Mounted in custom air vent pod)
- Sparco Evo Fibreglass Buckets On Custom Frames (Slightly tatty but not too bad)
This van ticks every box as far as van driving goes.
It is cheap to run thanks to the LPG system. It is mapped so the LPG only gives 200bhp but is very good on fuel. (£25 of LPG takes the van loaded 200miles) But due to the nature of the map it must not be revved past 4200rpm on gas. There is a switch located by the gearstick that swaps the van from petrol to LPG and can be done when driving. (currently waiting for an injector to fix the LPG system as its got a missfire, Only on gas)
The engine itself has just been serviced using genuine ford filters, Silkoline Pro Race 10w50 oil and Denso ITV24 Iridium Sparkplugs.
The transit covered the modball rally and won craziest car of the modball and has just been featured in FastFord.
The van has been used AS A VAN every day for the last 9months so the back is a bit grubby and the bulkhead has a bit of damage to it, just where things have been sliding around.
I have spent thousands on this van and don't regret spending any of it. This van still puts a smile on my face to this date. People always ask at the traffic light, what it is and why it’s so fast, but i need some money to start a new bussiness idea.
It has 09months MOT and there’s roughly 2months Tax left
I was hoping for £8000
cheers

I would have thought its worth around the price of what the van is worth as standard, plus the price of a focus RS engine. I havnt got a clue what either are worth so ill pass on giving a total.

It was featured in feb 10 issues. So not the one that out now, it's the one before. It had a blue colour mk2 fiesta on the front being chased by a ford GT.
Cheers for the input guys
It will be up for sale as soon as the LPG injector arrives
