Had a feeling that was going to be the answer.....suppose something has to be replaced seeing as its on 193,000 miles!!!

Ideal time to upgrade to a TT rack.....might swap mine with my girlfriends...wonder if she'd notice!! Ahem!!

Yeh - its 2 turns lock to lock as opposed to 2.5 mate.

Hello mate - I know alot of timewasters about

but honest as you are being - it is off putting when you keep mentioning faults with the car.

just repair them and sell the car as mint.

I am looking to buy a car at the moment - and my personal view is that if a car has faults and the owner hasnt seen to them then he may be hiding something more sinister than a simple fix. (not implying this with yours) but I would personally prefer to buy a car that has no faults than buy one and then have to get it repaired and risk finding its more expensive than the seller states (we arent all home mechanics either)

only trying to help from a buyers prospective why you have not sold it.

also - start a new advert - this is too long and too much hassle to read through if your looking to buy.

good luck
David

Is a bit of a 'new age' Vdub thing im afraid.

Problem is they hold their value, remember when I sold my last 2 golfs, one car was show winning mint Mk2 VR6 the other a clean mk4 Gt tdi daily driver. Both were really hard to shift, simply because of their value.

Relativly speaking Vdubs are very expensive 2nd hand cars.

Think your Gna just have to ride this one, the right person will come along. When ever i sell one of my Vdubs i always live in the fear than my forsale thread is going to go 'stale'. May be worth starting up a new ad with new pics, and maybe try to fix some of the little issues the car has......after all Its a buyers market at the mo!

If its was an aircooled however then it would have sold the next day! My 1970 bug sold in january in 1 week, on 1st viewing. And my 1949 beetle sold in HOURS!!! for more than the asking price
