Default Vw Bora TDI 130 SE New Piccies added

Only testing the water here, i absolutly love the car but looking at getting something different. And if it go's i will bloody regret it i bet

2004 04 plate Bora TDI 130 SE
6 Speed
74,500 miles
FSH inc service noted by myself at 70k
Timing belt + water pump replaced at 58k

MOT till October 17th 2009
Tax till end of March 09 (Just ordered 6 months tax online so taxed till end of September 09)

Usual SE spec:

4 Electric windows
air con
cruise control
remote locking with 2 proper remote keys inc key number tag
Black velour interior in imac condition

Car was just turning 68k when i bought it since then its had the following: wishbones, links were replaced because i was getting the suspension kit fitted and got it all done at same time to prevent the wishbones knocking 2 weeks later due to the extra stress they get, roll bar bushes were poly'd because originals were knackered.

Both front wishbones replaced inc the roll bar links
Anti roll bar has been polybushed also
Full Jom 40mm Suspension kit fitted (Standard suspension can go with car, boxed up)
18" Audi RS6 Reps still like new
M3 Style Lip Spoiler on boot
Wolsberg Edition badges fitted to boot and front wings (Just to make car that little different)
Brand new Mintex discs + pads fitted front and rear on friday 13/02/2009

I have brand new rear beam poly bushes to go with the car also aswell as the standard suspension and can also put the standard stereo back in also as it has a sony cd player at the momment.

Has some stone chips here and there but overall its a stunner imo and its been kept as best as possible, i am a mature owner with kids and its no a thrashed example, And to add i have my own valeting business and it gets washed twice a week and polished twice a month at least.

I dont want swaps or px offers please unless its that tidy moonstone 4x4 saph for sale

Lookin for £5200 ono

£4700 with slightly knocking rack

Cheers buddy, Dunno if im doing the right thing but and aint bothered in the slightest if it doesnt sell. I can handle 55-65 mpg no problem lol

Spoiler is from a german trader on fleabay that supplies them painted or unpainted ready to fit. I'll find the supplier and pm you.

Lovin the moonstone 4x4 saph thats for sale but also quite like the blue impreza from jockland for a less worry about parking ownershipp etc etc and the fact i live about 15ft from the coastal edge

Davie

you have a eagle eye matey spot on it is winterfield golf club....... i live in the flat within the main building....huge inside but a serious cunt to heat and costing me a fortune Never mind though i move out on 1st april to .........the other golf club lol nice wee 3 bedroom bungalow with driveway and a enclosed garden for the bairns to roam free lol

In reality i dunno if i could be arsed with typical cossie issues that would get on my tits lol if i did go for a performance car it would probs be the more modern impreza tbh as there getting cheap nowadays

Me and my dad (The Diva) are a dealer for EvolutionChips so we mapped it mate.

You don't have to add nothing, simply plug in, download your basic map, modify it, then upload it back into the car. Simple.

Go on www.evolutionchips.com for more details.

Is this the 1.9 TD, bloody good engine. Ive got the 2.0 in the mk5 GT golf now and its no were near as good from a drivers point of view and only does about 45mpg.

Our old mk4 1.9 saw 50+MPG all day long even with a heavy foot. and even 65-70 on long trips!!!

You can't go wrong with these cars. Im on my 6th VW now

Who ever buys this will be a very happy owner!

Yep 1.9 tdi PD engine asz engine code

Gives me 65mpg on a run to Edinburgh 25 mile journey and deffo will show 70 easy on a long run.

Still shows me 48-50 mpg if sat at 80mph

Heard a few folk say the 2.0 tdi aint as good and a few engine failures aswell

There is a slight knocking noise appeared from the steering rack occasionally, but unsure if its the actual rack or the rack bush yet. I will deduct a good sum of money of the car as it stands just now to cover both and towards fitment. The rack does not leak any fluid and my mate who has checked it out confirms its very common NON mot failure as his leon cupra has the same problem (he is also a mot tester)

recon racks are £125 from ebay (reputable seller that gives £50 back for old rack) and rack bush is only £12 for a poly one

Its not suspension related as the car had brand new arms, arb links and arb poly bush's fitted along with the jom suspension kit at the same time.

Sadly its typical that the rack starts knocking occasionally over bumps as i was deciding to get a bigger car but id rather be honest about it.

Im not overly bothered if it doesnt sell as i love the car, its fast, dirt cheap to run tax and insure and it looks fantastic but could ideally do with a bit more legroom in the back tbh as its just a bit cramped.

Thanks

Mine does it.....and has slowly got worse ever since I've had it - I guessed it was the rack at fault too as I've changed everything else - doesnt do it all the time which made it harder to track down - seems to come from the passenger side!!

Good luck with the sale - lovely car.

Spot on fella its from passenger side, my mate who is a vag man says they are common and his leon cupra is exactly the same, not always there then it can rattle its bollocks off around town then its quiet for ages, lol i was baffled at first as wishbones, suspension kit, arb bushes and arb links were all replaced at same time and brand new

Maybe im being daft when its so common but rather be honest

I find its not as bad when its wet too....not sure if thats my imagination or not but still!! Could you do me a favour & ask your mate if he thinks just changing the tie rod might sort it rather than the whole rack!?

I think its good that you are being honest mate - good on you!
