Converting Mk6 etate to rear discs
Hi dudes,
Has any one heard of doing the above?
I have an RS2000 rear beam, and will switch the bits over to my estate one (bloody thing has a separate shock spring set up so can't use the RS one). Hydraulics wise, I don't foresee a problem, but handbrake wise, it could be difficult!
My car runs two separate cables, rather than the single cable intom the looped quadrant affair.
Any advice at all?
Thanks
Weeksy

I thought that fella!
But there needs to be a mounting bracket on the floor to hold the adjuster in that loop cable too man!
Did the Mk6 have the same arrangement with the quadrant etc? Even the drum braked models?
Was thinking I might end up having to look for cables from another make / model?! Surely not?!
Thanks fella

I've had a look, and it is said to be a mission! One fella transplanted the RSbeam onto an estate, that looks painful!
The stub axle bolt spacing is different, so will need to get the stub axle centralised on the backplate, then have it redrilled! Apparently mk1 Focus cables are the ones to get...
Could be one step closer...
