It'll run with a knacked map sensor, very badly though. Can you check your fuel pressure? Does it actually start but not run? Any more info?

throttle body sensor shouldn't stop it from starting i wouldn't have thought.
are the leads the in the right order?
is there a story to it not starting, i.e. rebuild or a rainy day etc.?
