Hi guys im after a little bit of advice. Im currently fitting a silvertop zetec turbo into my S1 and am slightly stuck when it comes to the alternator setup. I just tried fitting a fiesta xr2 alternator bracket and a s2 70amp alternator, iv seen it fitted to a load of s2 rst's but the alternator is hitting the anti roll bar bracket in mine

Could anyone give me a bit of advice? do i use a different bracket?

On my mk4 I used a escort rst alternator bracket and a lowering bracket I purchased on ebay, this dropped the alternator and sorted the issue as I first tried using a frst bracket.

If you have a erst bracket bolt it to the engine with the top holes in the bracket bolted to the bottom holes on the block and see if that will be any help? (hope that made sense)

Makes sense and thanks for the pic but my problem is the s1 anti roll bar mount, i cant lower my alternator because itll hit the roll bar mount

The escort bracket sits the alternator above it, which could solve your problem.

Where do you get that bracket from

That is a copy of a escort rs turbo bracket, so you want a bracket of a escort rs turbo or a xr3i. You might still need a bracket to make it sit lower.

Iv brought a rst bracket from ebay so il see how i get on. Do you know where i can get a lowering bracket from?
