Default 1.3 and 1.6 na cvh piston differences?

Can someone confirm for me that 1300 cvh pistons and 1600 (n/a) pistons are the same?
I know they're the same diameter, crown doesn't matter as they're to be machined.

1.3 and 1.6 cvh same bore size

but if you use the 1.3 piston in a 1.6 it will push the cr up to 11:1

Whulst i'm here, the guy who's usually does headwork for me, ie pressure testing skimming etc, said he can rebuild my rst bottom end for Ł250 by using .5 o/s xr3i dome topped pistons and machining then flat.
Am I being paranoid or is that a terrible idea?
If its not a terrible idea, I'm gonna buy a full set of 1300 ones and machine them.

i would run a mile mate, thats a real pikey thing to do the rs turbo pistons are squeeze cast and xr3i pistons are just cast that's why they cost a bit more

thats as about as mad as using two head gaskets on a 1.6 na bottom end to lower the comp
