Which saph do you have 2wd or 4x4?, I only ask because if you have the 2wd you could try changing your exhaust manifold as well as this helps reduce lag and also removes the need for the turbo damper.

You will get a shed load less lag and more off boost power with having it mapped, as opposed to a chip install ime.
If you do go this route plan ahead and consider if you are likely to want future upgrades, then ditch the dark greens and go straight to greys or similar, with as said a T34.48, will get you to around 370bhp, and be very lag free.
My own car starts to pick up around 1400rpm on boost but full boost is by 2500rpm, I run a hybrid T3/34, that is a T3 compressor housing machined out to take the T34 trim, brings in the boost earlier, but limits overall compared with full size T34.
If you're that worried about lag use a BB turbo, as this will virtually eliminate it, which to my mind would spoil the car, but if that's what you want ?

cheers guys. its a standard engine, albeit low mileage so dont wanna kill it. would 370bhp with greys be too much for a standard engine? also how much is mapping? thanks, gary.

370 on Greys will be fine on your engine, i had that setup on my 3dr 4yrs ago on a T34.48 NMS Live map, great road car that was..

oh forgot ive fitted a group a headgasket too for good measure!! it might be best then to fit the t34 .48 and the greys. ive heard the live mapping is seriously expensive? plus i dont think theres anyone near me to do it but may be worth the travel. its currently 4wd but im converting to 2wd asap. will they check fuel pressure etc while mapping?
