Congratulations, well done
i haven't done any Martial Arts since my kids were born, now 3 years ago.
Ive done Karate, Ninjutsu and Jeet Kune Do Kung Fu over the years.
Oh and boxed too.
I do miss the routine though, used to keep me fit.

not if you can through a good punch they dont, in street fights anyway.
thats what pisses me off about UFC, most of it is just fooken grappling and holds on the floor whilst throwing the occasional elbow
I do Thai boxing once a week at the mo

a serious question
has anyone ever tried sumo ?
at 21.5 stone i would be suited to it, short and squat, but am really worried about my knees which are taking a nock at the moment
any experiences or lads into sumo here ?

I just started doing "Systema" anyone know much about it? I just went along to a class as a mate said it was meant to be good. Never done any form of martial arts or honestly been in many fights so thought it would be a good time to learn! It was quite good apart from being kneed in the face by a bird and later, dropped on the floor by her boyfriend then stepped on by the instructer, all in the space of about 10 seconds which was nice! ! But liked it so much going back tomoorrow for some more. Just wondering if anyone had heard of it or tried it?

Chinese Kickboxing, Wing Chun Kung Fu, a MMA that concentrates on Streetfighting, and also thinking of having a crack at BJJ..
Started doing the Kickboxing every day for an hour for a couple of months as well as weekly, the improvement in physique is scary when it gets intensive, bloody knackering though lol
Well done on the 2nd Dan!
