engine swap
hi,can anyone help,ive got a mk5 escort cozzie lookalike based on an l-reg xr3i and want to fit either a mk4 rs turbo engine or a cosworth engine,
what i need to know is whats involved and what bits would i need,cheers in advance.

an rs turbo lump is by far the easiest conversion.
but you will need to find an engine, wiring loom, turbo, intercooler, all ancillarys, etc
to fit the actual engine you will need the mounts from a cvh engined mk5
then you will need to cut the 2 looms in half at the bulkhead and join the front half of the rs one to yours,
exhaust will prob have to be custom made to fit no doubt
