Default Fitting Polybushes

I've just purchased a set of Polysport Bushes from RallyDesign, however like all good things they don't come with any proper instructions The car is a Mk4 Escort and the bushes I intend to fit are in the rear arm (the rest are going to be ford bushes)

It seems some bushes replace the outter sleeves, but with the polysport ones I'm guessing I have to use the old ones that have stayed in the arm when I removed the old bolts, what I cannot understand is that if I fit the arm/hub bushes in the same way as the old bushes I cannot see how they go in. Has anyone fitted these bushes before and have they got any tips / pictures to help.

Thanks
Steve

With the Powerflex bushes I fitted to mine, they replaced the whole of the original bush.

Have you asked Rally Design?

Yep asked Rally Design and they didn't know

Did a bit of measuring, The diameter of the hole in the arm is 45.9mm the diameter of the old bush sleeve is 45.9mm and the diameter of the inside of the sleeve where the old rubber sits is 43.3mm Somehow I don't think they will just slide in, not when the bush od is 49.4mm....

Time for a refund.... and time for Powerflex bushes me thinks !

i had this problem when i bought the deflex ones, dont know about the polysport ones but the inner bush on the rear arm was too small,i thought you left the oe sleeve in but seen on other cars that the sleeve is taken out,got back onto deflex and explained the situation and it seemed that the old bushes(which retained sleeve) had been mixed in size with the new bush,so i got diameter of old bush with length of the new bush(if u get me)anyway they sent me a new set out, maybe worth gettin rally design to send another set see if they are the same
