Default cutting out when on full boost

hi im kinda new to the turbo scene and accidentally purchased a dog of a series2 just had to replace the suspension which i changed to -60mm and now it's scrubs on full lock gearbox is also knackered and theres a lot of rust and im running out of money... fast. the engine is sweet apart from the fact that when it comes on full boost the ignition cuts out, when the turbo is building up the boost it's fine and accelerates very well up until full boost it cuts the spark and throws you forward had the boost on 0.6 bar and it does it, upped the boost to 1bar and it was still doing it, The car has apparently been chipped, i carefully took the ecu apart to find the chip which had an "S" on it for superchips i presume
So my question is assuming the car is chipped what else would cause ignition cut? the engine is an early one without the knock sensor, already changed the charge temp sensor for another which wasnt new and it's still the same It hasnt got a amal valve either weather this would cause it..

Please help me and give me all the advice you can as im stumped and really getting fed up of rs ownership already just after 2 weeks ...

hmm yes the sticker is a superchips logo but i'm sure the motorola chip is a standard chip!!!!

did u remove the chip carrier protector?

as a test u would turn the car down to 0.5 bar and see if it does it then !

Got a feeling that it is chipped as when it does cut out the rev counter doesnt drop, as im told it would if it werent chipped and it was cutting the spark also an rs expert has told me to check the actuator strength as this may cause the wastegate to open before it should, also told me i need an amal valve so if anyone has one kicking around i will buy it off you.. more money lol

RS= Real Skint lol

i have heard if the spark plug gaps arn't correct the turbo can effectivley blow out the spark which would give the same symptoms as u say !

try fitting new plugs and a common one is the distributor wires in their can get week and broken!

thats what i was thinking hornet7 have had new plugs and leads but didnt gap them guess i best go pull them out and do that then, does certainly feel like ignition cut, comes on boost pulls well then cuts out and doesnt cut back in until you bring your foot back up off the throttle and then it takes around a second for it to pick up, dump valve is also rather late also when its picking back up....

Hmm....

I'll take the d/v off at the weekend but i'll gap the plugs first and try that oh yeah might need a new gearbox too cos the speedo's stopped working, the dreaded diff problem lol bought an inlet charge temp sensor today from ford £30!! if it aint that it will be going on ebay!! lol replaced the fuel pump relay today for a brand new one and i must say everytime i turn the key the pump primes now, just wondering maybe that might have been causing it... not holding my breath, it's usually expensive when something i have goes wrong
