Thought I would post in here to see if I get more replies!
Last Sunday I was out in me Cos and all of a sudden the internal heaters packed up! They were fine 1 minute, then started the Cos and they wouldn't turn on.
Ive tried a new (Off, 1, 2, 3) Switch and have tested some of the wires. The red/black wire from the middle of the (Off, 1, 2, 3) switch reads 12v and so does 1 of the wires to the directional switch. Ive tried another resistor (On top of the fans) and still no joys from the heaters?
Ive put a direct live to the fans and they switched on straight away. There is power from the resistor to the fans and Ive tried bridging the wires from the directional switch to see if this helps, but still nothing!
Ive been told its possibly the fuse box, but the bit that confuses me is the fuses are all fine with voltage readings on both sides and there's a live to the red/black wires on both switches and the resistor. If the fuse box was melting I would assume atleast 1 of the fuses would not have a voltage on 1 side or there would be no power to switches, etc???
got a brand new resistor from Ford's, but still no joy! Does anyone know if there is a relay or anything in between the heater switch and the resistor??
Has anyone got a wiring diagram or has any idea what could be causing this problem???
Cheers
