track control arm bushes mate. if they are still original ones they will be like stale play doh - if the ball joints are ok, remove them and replace with PU ones, like deflex/powertflex etc, do the inner and outer ones and not forgetting the anti roll bar bushes at the front as this takes as much stick as the outer TCA bushes do. its a bit a b'tard to do though and needs the front of the car in the air and get some big spanners and crow bars to lever the anti roll bars into position, oh and plenty of copperslip when reassabling and plenty of wd40 when unassembling and let it soak in .

i had this problem on my rst and had replaced everything but it turned out it was the wheels even though i tried replacing them with a aftermarket set. Try having the wheels balanced while the wheels are on the car but you have to find out who does this as very little companies do this.

the wheel issue is more of a problem when aftermarket wheels are used in conjunction with spaces which stop the wheel centring itsself on the hub properly or the hub hole in the wheel is larger than the ford hub itself.

hello mate
had problems in the past with the steering rack knuckle joints having excessive play and causing wheel wobble similar to wheel balance probs. you can get the knuckle joints from ford for about Ł20 if you find this is the prob
