Yes boss!!! Header tank was fine b4 so if anything is the pump which im getting asap, gonna try get a pressure tester in the meantime, but it looks like the pressure only builds up and overflows the header once it gets to silly temps which is understandable!!!

I said it might be your water pump but you said it was not that old.

The water is bubbling in the engine and forcing water up out of the header tank.

At least you might have sorted this now!

It cannot be much else if the pipes are different temps, this clearly shows that the water is not moving properly.

When the engine is hot,is the header tank water warm.

If it is,lol, blow into the header tank so you move the water around, then check the header tank water temp, this will now be really hot!

LOL, this is what i did on a rst 2 and it did turn out to be the water pump.

May sound stupid, , but it will move the water around the engine!

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

after a week of fucking about i got someone to have a look as it was doing my nut. Bit of an odd one, and im sure a few tech heads will have some pisstaking comeents but!!!!!!!!!!!

Where i had to disconnect the turbo water feed due to breaking the pipe, i blocked off the outlet on the stat housing, and the return inlet on the header tank, now for some bizzare reason thats what was causing the problem!!! As a temp measure ive got a pipe coming off the stat housing and going to the header tank till i fix the turbo pipe, but as soon as i did that water cirulated/cooled and we have life!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Obvoiusly its down to some sort of pressure related thing, so any tech heads care to share some thoughts?!

Yes, you're a dim twat!

It's a return to the header tank, if it's blocked, it can't return.....

Header tank was fine b4
I never said change the header tank though tony...I said header tank CAP. The reason being that they are a pressure releif valve as well as a cap. the cooling system is meant to be pressurised to a certain point then the cap will blow off excess pressure...I have known in the past these caps to go weak and blow off too much prsseure too early and then there is a cooling issue......

Well where was ur suggestion to make sure i had a pipe going back to the header tank after i had disconnected the turbo water feed eh eh

I just assumed that with the top rad hose, water circulated back to the rad and back thru it to the pump and round again, and the header tank was just to fill it!!!

Still cant beleive it was enuff to completely stop water getting round the rad!!!

Ah well live and learn
