I managed to drop two down the head whilst changing the valve stem seals. Both of them went down 2 of the large three holes at the back of the head (cvh 8v). Do these holes go directly to the sump? and if so will they be ok in there or do i need to do a full oil change and remove them?

 

i did this to lol, if it went down the left one it will be in the sump but the right one has a plastic thing in which is where mine got stuck. Try draining the oil first but if it doesnt come out you will have to take the sump off

deffo get them out mate would'nt be a good thing to leave them in there making there merry way round the engine till they get stuck somewhere and give you BIG!! problems

 

joy of joys, lol. Cheers anyway, ill drain the oil and see what happens

 

get yourself a telescopic magnetic pick up tool ive used it before for similar things dropped down oil ways etc they will easily fish out the missing collets !
worth a try before removing sumps etc..
only a £1 from my local market!
