Default Cold Start Up Problem on S2 RST

Hi guys/gals,

I have a S2 RS Turbo lump in a pruple cabbie. The engine was out of a 90 spec car with 90,000 mils on the clock and all items even down to the gaskets and oil filter were original Ford items. I used my fueling system and ECUS but I have a problem with cold starting.

Everytime I start the car from cold it is sluggish and has poor idling but as soon as I bosst it or it gets warm its starts no problem. I also get a rather big smell of petrol when I boot it hard and I an running out of ideas. THis car has already nearly cost me a year of my life and I just wanna get it sorted.

Cheers for the help,

Orignal Cabbie

Oh if you want any Escos Turbo Parts PM me I have broken 2 S2 RST Cabbies. No Engines etc.

sounds like it needs a setup, or see what its like without the cold start valve connected, just pull the multiplug off

I tried it without the cold start valve and it was doing the same things. I have finally got my hands on some cash so I wanna take it to a tune shop and get a new turbo. Anyone know a good tuning place in Birmingham that deals with RS Turbos?

Also I have a fiesta RS Turbo inlet manifold and a spare RS Turbo head. I wanna sort out EFI for my S2 as that f**king metering unit is doing my head in. Anybody got or know where I can get the loom, sensors and everything I need to convert. As always as cheap as poss as the missus is nagging me about money for the wedding.

Cheers Lads/Ladies
