Default Whats wrong?

Hiya everyone

I dont know if you can help

My boyfriend has a Ford Focus V reg (not sure exactly what model it is but i know its a 1.8) there is some kind electrical fault with it and i wanted to try and find out what it could be for him

It doesnt happen all the time but when he is driving along his speedo will randomly stop working and then the TCS light will come on (sometimes the speedo will kick back in but not every time) he said that he notices a slight loss in power when the speedo stops working

I was in it the other day and it did all of what i have just listed and then it just cut out. When he started it back up again it was fine and drove like nothing had happened (speedo and all)

Has anyone got any ideas as to what this could be?

Thank you

I had this problem with my work car, it was a TDCI 1.8 Focus.
It turned out to be a problem with the ECU.

I'm not saying for definate it could be, but that's what i was told when my car was sent in.

Get it in to a garage to have a look.

Steve
