series 2 cutting out
Start my series 2 and it starts, sits at normal rpm.. and then cuts, catchs then cuts then catchs then dies completey.... itll start no problems again and does the same.
Come on all of a sudden, so ive checked the plugs and leads, dizzy rotor arm and distributor.
I personally think its the coil, or somet to do with the cam belt... but whats your thoughts?

if you have an immobiliser installed, i would check for loss of ignition . check that fuel pump / relay has got a constant elect feed and is being switch , as relays are common for intermittant faults, u can eliminate this by bridging terminals 30 and 87 on relay which is the contact circuit. c how ya go

did u change the dizzy mate?
check the small green wires from the coil, they run around the engine bay along the front panel and back up the lefthand side for breaks in it
check plugs on ecu's
fuel pump relay replaced?

i have checked the plugs, leads, and dizzy. Distributor was changed only a few months back as was dizzy and rotor arm. I will go and check the coil now but being a convertion, its quite hard to trace wires... i will check ecu too!! Fuel pump relay was brand new about 9months ago, how can i bridge it to see if it is that?
Because the car starts no problems and revs, but then cuts.
