my m8 has a vectra sri 01 plate sad prob is a whining noise sound like somthing belt driven i took of aux belt so not altenator put into local they replaced water pump cam belt and tensioner so they said any thing else that can make the noise,soounds more like top of engine so i thought tensinor on t/b was good place to start

any ideas

 

Had a loud winning noise on a 216 rover, top end and at high revs, camb wasn,t getting oil and it stuck solid sticking a valve through a piston

 

this is at idle noise rises as revs do i checked oil pressure etc took rocker off looks ok any thing else

 

any one else got idea
