Default Quaife or not?

Got a box 4x4 esc cossy supposedly a ''QUAIFE'' . I can't fit a std clutch cable as it won't fit through the hole in the housing. I have been told this is because the Quaife housings were slightly too small and you must drill them out. Anyone heard of this? The under neath of the rear half has a ford oval cast in it. Could it be quaife internals and bell housing with ford rear casing? or am I just being optimistic?

What quaife?

If it's a big tooth box then they use the Ford casing which should fit. The one fitted to my Dads car was a Ford casing but with a big tooth gear kit. If you take out the reverse lamp switch you can see the gears. If you have the standard box then you could compare them to see if you have been sold a quaife box. The difference is obvious when you look at the 2 different types of gears.

If it is a quaife box then I see no problem in enlarginf the hole with a drill for the clutch cable.

Cheers I'll look through that switch hole. I have another box but is already in one car, and the 'quaife' one is already in my other one!!

As Daz says, the front case is standard Ford, whether it has a Quaife big tooth kit or not.
