Default Extra Low Lowering springs!

Hello peeps,

My 2WD Saph is currently fitted with Koni shocks and springs. Its down by 25mm but for me thats just not enough.

Basically im looking at taking her lower with a set of new springs.

But i cant find anywhere that does springs for my car that are lower than 25mm.

I know the ride will probably be killed but im more after the looks rather than the ride to be honest.

So is there any anywhere that does spring kits for a 2WD Saph cossy that are lower than 25mm???

Any links and price info would be much appreciated.

i dont no of any mate. my car is rediculusly low tho, on 18" focus rims i lost the top of the tyre in the arch . u wanna be abit careful tho as it tends to scrub a fair bit, i have just fitted bump stops to mine and it sits on them now as it was that low ( only a tempary measure until i find harder, much harder springs )

what wheels u got mate?

I got 17" Khans mate. 205/40/17 tyres so nothing too out of the ordinary but i was kinda hoping to get it lower some how.

Does yours sit as shown in your siggy? Or is it lower now?

Are they 17's or 18's mate? They look like Focus RS rims?

Yours does look spot on but i think id go for the look BEFORE the bump stops!

Was seriouly thinking of doing that to be honest with you mate, as it getting a bit pissing off trying to find a set of springs that'l lower the car to where i want it to be.

Anyways, i thought on cossies you cant chop the rear springs as the coil tends to get smaller on the ends. If i chopped it would it still sit right on the car?

AJ - I see where your coming from mate, but im no stranger to chopping springs.

Iv done it on 3 cars in the past. 1 that had the original shockers, the other 2 had Koni shocks with Pi springs. Much like the case with the Saph i didnt like where they were sat, so i chopped the springs down. Sat down just PERFECT. And i NEVER EVER had problems on any of the cars.

Im not advising others to do it, especially if they're not comfortable with it, but from experience i now know what can and what cant be cut and by how much. So just a little off a lowered spring with a shorter shocker does no harm at all.

But thanks for the advice anyway.

they r 18" focus rims mate.
personaly i wudnt chop the spings but that from experience from a friend.
i wud of loved to keep it that low ( without bump stops ) but going through a set of tyres every 1000 miles or less and the constant rubbing and burning rubber smell in the car i gave up lol. but i must say that with the bump stops in the car looks level and handles beta aswell imo
