cossie management on erst
Just bought an Rs Turbo with cossie management. The car seemed to be running o.k when i got it considering it hadn't been mapped, however the conversion was messy and in the process of tidying it up i've found the injectors aren't seating properly due to the way the holes have been bored out. Is it possible to repair the inlet manifold to accept the injectors properly?. Does this conversion work o.k on my non-E.F.I engine as there is not a cutout for injectors like on the E.F.I head and manifold, will the spray pattern be o.k?.I would prefer to keep my current head as it is a stage 3 SE engines one. Any advice will be very much appreciated.
You can also grind the cut outs to your old cylinder head. There's enough meat in there, just don't make them as deep as the EFI ones. Lot's of conversions have been done over here, and I don't think anyone has used an adaptor plate. It just pushes the manifold backward as it wouldn't be far enough already.
Ok the best way to keep your "worked" head is to fit a conversion plate that will allow you to fit our modded EFI inlet manifold, then you could bolt on your components you have already back on.
Throttle body etc...But you may need to change the fuel rail and some other small items.
The plate cost i will PM you
