Default Turbo problems !!!!!

finally got my car back last night after waiting for 6mths to have the engine rebuilt.

now got a turbo problem used to hold fine at approz 14-16 psi through the gears but now it shooting way above 20 +

it got a manual adj boost, but this is turned to the lowest setting.

the bloke who done the engine work also changed the ecu to one with a collins chip

turbo also seems to kick in at a lot lower revs any one got any ideas ?

HI,
With the manual boost adj, have you still got the amal valve in place,
if so check your pipe's from the turbo to the valve are correctly fitted.
also starting from scratch, the pipe that comes from the compressor of the turbo,
put it straight to the actuator, and see what the boost pressure is, it should show
the actuator pressure, if so , you have a problem with either your manual adj, or amal valve.

the amel valve is on a bracket bolted on the top of gearbox it is brown with a white top there r three pipes runing from it one to the turbo (compresor) one to the actuator and one returns to atmosphere through the meatring unit(the solid blak pipe that runs from the rocker cover)

still can't find the amal valve would it have been changed for a bleed valve ? (or am i just been stupid )

taken the adj boost valve (looks like a bleed valve) off so just got a pipe running from turbo to actuator now, not had chance to try this yet.
