HI,

Is there any power @ the thermo switch,(the switch that kicks the power to the
fan) i think on the rs 2000, the ecu runs the fan, so you cant bypass the thermo
switch, like on the rs turbo escort. as you will blow the ecu, if no power to switch
and the fuses are ok, try the relay if you can find it.

DAVE R,

Test the relay supplies and outputs at the relay position.
It's possible you have a Fuseboard going down.
You had a new Fusebox in this at all? Tested all the circuits from the board for operation?

this always happens.
usually fusebox failur, this is the most common problem on the mk5/6 escorts.
you can bypass the fusebox with a wire from the ignition switch to the fan power wire.
ive done loads of them.
infact i just done one yesterday that wouldnt start but i bridged some wires and now it goes
