Iv recently installed a cossie turbo engine in my capri but am unable to start it due to no spark.I have the test spark on the first turn of the key but no run spark.iv got a signal to the ecu from the TDC sensor and iv had the loom back out to test the wireing.Changed the distributor, ignition module, still no spark.Any ideas what it could be? or shall i bin the project and get a saff? but thats too easy!

sounds like the phase sensor in the dizzy is plugged in the wrong way round, it will go either way one one way it works, the other is just doesnt. try that first

I tried two different distribitors, but il try that anyway. Its also important to get the gap right isnt it? I hope it wont be to hard to sort but been at it for weeks now, looking forward to hearing it running.
Should be fun on wet roundabouts! running stage 1 and its got a limited slip diff.

gap for the phase sensor just out of intrest should be between 0.2 to 0.3 mm, the tdc sensor should be 0.6 to 0.8 mm,
also if you have the 2 connctors at the back of the dizzy (one is the knock sensor and the other is the tdc sensor) in the wrong plug/socket (yes they are interchangeable) it wont run depending what chip/ecu combination, there are some people that have found it will run but badly with them in the wrong ones, but ive found that mine will NOT run al all with them the wrong way round.

it could, yes, but 99times out of 100 its a sensor/wiring issue and not the ecu.
are the earth points connected on the engine loom at the back of th einlet manifold,? i ran an additional heavy earth from that point to one of the starter bolts to make sure when mine was messing about that it wasnt just a crap earth through the engine to earth...
