Default 2.0L Zetec MK2 Fester Project

Im toying with the idea of putting a 2.0L N/A Zetec lump in a MK2 Fiesta as a bit of a project and also a reliable daily driver that will be a bit of a laugh at the traffic light Grand-Prix.

Problem is i've never attempted such a thing before and know feck all about said engine and fiesta's,any idea's with regards to which zetec to use and gearbox, management engine mounts fuel tank etc.

im fine with the rest of the mods i want, brakes suspension minor power increase etc

As always this is not a big project but you all know how it will turn out, 1 week on the road as a complete project and it will come off again to become a throttle bodied track car but lets aim low for now!!

You need the 1800/1600 sump, oil pick up pipe, flywheel and starter motor
You need to cut the engine loom out the mondeo
You need to modify the Engine mount slightly to fit in the zetec block
You will need to have the fuel tank modified to take the fuel pump either that or buy it complete form fiesta frezny Think its 100 quid
Exhaust will need a bit of modification and bigger bore
can think of muc more else than that!

yeah you need the with the hole engine loom its either the 1800 loom or the 2000 loom you will also need the 1800 inlet manifold because the mondeo one is too big
so best chopping the engine loom out a 1800 escort or something, not a mondeo one, should be able to use a xr2 1600 gearbox or a zetec box, i used a gearbox from a 1800 zetec xr2i made a big difference to acceleration but it wouldnt do much more than 105/110mph just an idea!

So do i!!

No i didnt think it would, what i do will all depend on the funds and whats available at the time might evan go for turbo power yet not sure. All depends on whats available but would like it to be a zetec for everyday reliability.
