I'm thinking of getting the bottom end of my cossie lightened and balanced can any1 tell me the benefits of this and ruffly how much it's going to cost. cheers peeps

Well it means the engine will run smoother cus of the minimal weight difference in pistons and will rev a bit happier on the account the pistons dont weigh as much soo much so will affect acceleration a little.

does this mean that you could raise the rev limit without damage?

it does help when you want to raise the limit, but you do have to take into acount the valves and cam bits too when wanting to raise the limit cus these can fail just as quickly.
