Just gone to go in my S2 and its turning over but isnt starting,the fuel pump shoots into life but it wont fire up the car. Please help

 

Take the air filter off get a mate to turn the car over as he does hold the metering head flap slightly down if it starts let us know!!!

 

is there a spark??

 

OK,D7AKE i done that with the air filter and still nothing, the plugs are sparking as well, what next guys???

 

were the plugs wet?
is the ecu std?

 

the plugs are dry and i think its chipped

The plastic piston in the fuel pump had gone so the pump was whirring but not drawing fuel, £111 later and a cosworth fuel pump and im back eating scoobies for breakfast.
