Default Problem with Sparking...

Hope someone can help. Ive got a ka and im in the process of putting an xr3i engine into it. Been doing the wiring today, but i cant get a spark to work when im trying to crank the engine over. So when the starter is cranking the engine, there is no spark, but as soon as i let off the key so it goes back onto the ignition, it sparks only once.

What is going wrong?

Cheers, Alex

dont worry, problem solved.

the problem is the ignition feed to the coil pack. when the key is turned to crank the engine, the voltage drops to 0.

To solve the problem, i selected the 30amp fuse on the top left on the fuse box and spliced into the big fat purple wire.

this wire keeps voltage when the key is turned.

The engine will now run!!!!

Its a CVh EFi engine.
