Default XR3i to RST

Ok, I don't want silly answers here, I want to do it just because I got nothing better to do!!!

Here's the question, has anyone converted an XR3i wiring loom to accept an RS Turbo engine. I got a mint engine, gearbox, ECU's, Turbo, ETC and I want to stuff it in my 3i the only concern I have is the wiring, how do I do it? Do I cut and join or completely replace? or do I simply add the missing wires in? I would like to know how YOU did it please. Yes I do have a S2 Wiring loom to use.

No silly answers please.

mk4 rst loom can be spliced but its a propa pig to do

unplug everything
pull through the fuse box
the rst loom is colourcoded multi plugs
plug and play really

You can cut the XR3i wiring loom about half way along the drivers side door as the RST Wiring is the same to the back lights etc. All colours match up on the RST side apart from one extra wire a black and white one (I think) which I taped up and and left disconnected. You need to replace the front end wiring by ripping the dash out and pulling the loom through the fuse box hole out into the engine bay. Any probs give me shout. Took me a day to replace the wiring easy job.

Cheers
Dave
