Default Re which electric fuel pump xr2

I’ve got a 1985 xr2 running the original mechanical fuel pump but I wanted to change it to electric fuel pump and wondered the best way of doing it? I was after some advice on type of pump to get and how to incorporate a shut off in case of an accident.

many thanks in advance

I don't see why you want to change?

I think you need to be mindful of the pressure, which means a regulator would have to be installed.

If it's to high you risk forcing fuel past the needle valve.

Facet seem to be popular, but can't be more specific on on the type, as to the cut off, any inertia switch would be fine, wired in series to the pump supply.
