Default fuel pump on a xr2 turbo..

hi

any one got pictures and info on how to hook up a rst fuel pump to a fiesta xr2 fuel tank when turboing one?

You won't have much fun with a turbo fuel pump and the fiesta tank! Get an injection tank from the 1.4i. This also has a bracket to mount the pump!

ive never seen i 1.4i? is it a mk2 or mk3? if its a mk3 then yh cool ?

When you talk about a XR2 you mean a MK1 or MK2? Or are you talking about a XR2i?



This is a MK2 1.4i tank. There were only intank-pump tanks for the GFJ

i was talking about a mk2 fiesta as i am turbo'ing my one.

the 1.4i was introduced in ~87. This is the tank for it. Reservoir inside, still available new and the big fuel pump fits fine

if you look at my link, apparently fiesta centre tanks are wank! not a proper swirl pot in there.

got a mate who's converted his xr2 to efi with the fiesta centre tank and he definately has surge issues, anything under 1/2 a tank and its useless!

use a normal tank with turbo pump just have to keep it about 1/4 way

I did that... with the 1/2 tank the engine began to cut out, especially when cornering

doh! dont worry lad i cut my orignal tank and fited a rst swirl pot in car dosnt seam to surge when cornering even on low level of fuel
