Intermittent over revving engine in cold weather
Hi,
I have a 2003 LX ford fiesta 1.3. In cold weather it has intermittent over revving when my feet are off the pedals e.g. at a red light. It also does this in idle/going at low speeds.
Any ideas of what it could be and what I need to do?
Kind regards,
Ellen

Probably a sticking idle control valve. Remove and clean it up and see how that goes. It may well need replacing but a clean out first is as good as free!
