Please can some body help??
Got an r reg 1.8 escort gti,had problems with car not ticking over very well,was told it was the idle speed control valve so changed that today but now revs surges between 1800 & 2000 rpm on tickover & when changing gear car revs as though foot still on gas!!!!!!
is it right there is no adjustment for tickover?

did you repce gasket with iscv sounds like air leak on inlet somewere or iscv is sticking


search for leaks by spraying wd 40 on inlet area car revs shoud drop
