Hi all newbie here was driving the car the other day and had the glow plug light come on came up with code p0251 was towing a caravan at the time car is a MK3 2.0 tdci on a 04 reg as soon as light came on the car started doing 50mph as soon as took caravan off the car started driving normal can any one give me ideas what it might be it's done it 3 times while Caravan being towed

First thing is when was the last time it had a fuel filter?

Other than that requires fuel pressure checks and leak off checks on the injectors.

Hi had the car around 2 years I've never changed the fuel filter since I've had the car it has done 156000 miles
