Default Problem with starting

Hi hope someone can help me, I have a mondeo mk3 on a 55 plate it’s a 2.0 litre zetec nav model.
Last week I was driving down the m1wgen the abs light started flickering intermittently, all of a sudden the car went dead no power steering or brakes, it was completely dead.
After managing to pull up I tried to start the engine to which there was a continuous clicking sound, so I presumed the battery was at fault, the breakdown Svs put a new battery on saying my old battery had a bad cell, after paying £140 for the battery and £108 for the call out all seemed ok, today checked my battery with a multimeter and with engine off there was 11.5v in battery. But with engine ticking over it was 11.3v
took car for a good run and after switching engine off for 10 mins and restarting it all the dials like self tested and my trip set back to zero and deg c went to Fahrenheit, tried to start it and it was clicking again. Left it 15 mins and it started but very sluggish. Can anyone please give me any idea of what the problem could be, it’s been so reliable up to this point but unsure of the problem. Thanks and I’d appreciate your replies.

Your alternator is not charging the battery.
Get the alternator and it's wiring checked.
