it's quite easy, i used a tool that holds the spring down so you can remove the collets etc and do it without removing the head. you can get them from your local spare parts dealer. just remove the rocker cover, remove all the rockers but keep them together with the guides and nuts etc on a board marked with 8 sections, then use the tool to clamp the spring down and remove the collets, take off the tool and spring and then change the seals, refitting is the reverse of removal ( ala haynes )

i've prob missed summat out but it's late and someone will put you right

re-fitting rocker cover requires NO TORQUE settings, am I right ?

you simply tighten up, until snug and tight.... ?

the rocker cover bolts don't need to be tight at all, what i do is use a long extension with the 10mm socket on and hand tighten them all in a sequence from left to right doing opposites ( left then right then left etc ), then fit the ratchet and just give them a quarter of a turn. it doesn't take much to displace the gasket so don't go too tight. check for leaks after and tighten or loosen if required.

You might want to make sure whichever cylinder you working on the piston is a tdc or you valve will fall, you'll end up having to take the head off if that happens. Try not to loose any collets inside the engine either
