Default 2.0 Duratec tuning help

Gidday all, Needing some help tuning my 2.0 Duratec with Genvey Throttle bodies using an Omex 600 ignition.
The engine is in an open wheel formula Atlantic race car, so it's using dry sump etc. Problem is over here in the US, no one knows a dame thing about tuning these engines. Omex has been great to work with and has given me a base start up map, but I need something more to go with. I feel pretty good with the software, but getting anyone to put the car on a chassis dyno is like pulling teeth. If it aint a ford or chevy V8, they are lost!!!

Any one care to weigh in?
Cheers
Linz

Hi,

Here in the uk that engine is used in the Fiesta st150 so if you google that, some suggestions and help should hopefully appear.

My limited knowledge is that it is a very tunable engine with the limitations being the wafer thin piston rings and they dont like really high revs, the chains and tensioners i believe are weak. Very easy to hit the 200bhp mark and i believe cams and headwork will get you well beyond. Mountune did a 180kit as well so they maybe worth a google as well as dunnell.

Hope that helps
