Default Starting Trouble!

Put a recon bottom end in my big turbo Escort a few weeks ago and ever since then I've got an intermitent starting problem! You go to it n it starts fine then you turn it off n try to start it again n it just turns over for a bit then kicks the starter out then it'll start the next time!!!? Had new battery, recon starter and checked block connecters in harness but no sucsess, any1 any more ideas?

The C.P.S. picks up a signal from three little tabs on part of the bottom pulley. A Cossy lump does a full revolution before firing up as the ecu gets a reading from all the sensors, before finally sending spark to fire up. If one of the tabs is damaged or missing the ecu will not sense the c.p.s. properly and will not start well. Check these as it won't cost you anything to do so!!

Sounds like a wireing fault to me mate. I hate intermittent things. I mean if something is gonna foook up at least have the deciency to stop working all together and not mess with ya head when it works every now and then.
