Default Running lean?

Just took the 4 branch manifold off my Orion Efi and cylinders 134 are black and sooty but number 2 is clean and grey. Car is running with misfire that I've been unable to diagnose. Would anyone think that there might be an injector problem on number 2?
Thanks
Dave

Strangely coolant does drop from full mark on header tank to lower level but then stays there and had head off a few weeks ago to check but all looked fine.
Surprise could try swapping injectors around.
