Default L6 ECU plug help

Some months back when i was fault finding with my car i removed the ecu plug cover to do some testing.

Whilst removing 2 plastic strips fell out.

They look like they go along the length of the plug and somehow protect the wires, but does anyone have a pic where they go in the plug.

Here is a link to the show the strips i am talking about

many thanks

Tim

They go either side of the plug and then the casing holds them in place.

If you look at the plastic where all the wires go into, you will see there are little rectangular holes in each one so you can inspect the connections. These plastic 'combs' slot into these holes then the outer cover (which has grooves for these combs) slides into them.
